‘Eight by Eight’-  an art exhibition, Holt, Norfolk.

A few months ago I was approached by a group of East Anglian painters to see if I wanted to join a show of theirs over the Easter period in Holt, Norfolk.

Called ‘Eight by Eight’ it will feature eight paintings each by eight different artists. As well as myself, they are Nicholas Elliott, Rosemary Carruthers, Les Williams, Pauline Sexton, Chris Giles, Rachel Thomas, and Bob Brandt, and all of them have work available to view online.

Most of them are Members or Fellows of the Institute of East Anglian Artists. They paint in many different styles, and specialise in a wide variety subject matter, but the one thing that unites them is genuine ability, and a love of painting. Needless to say, I was thrilled to accept their invitation.

All three of these paintings will be amongst the eight that I have in the show. On Friday 14th April at 2.00 pm, I will be giving a live painting demonstration on how I go about starting a horse painting.

As well as the original paintings on offer, there will be canvas-print reproductions, prints, and cards also available.

I will be helping to run the show on many of the days, so I hope to see you there?

‘Eight by Eight’ will take place in The Anwen and John Hurt Exhibition Space, Holt Community Centre, NR25 6DN, 7-16th April between 10.00 am and 5.00 pm daily.
