A successful and enjoyable evening at Edmondson Hall

The Gallery Evening at Edmondson Hall in December was a great success. As usual, Mark Edmondson and his team put on a fantastic bar and buffet, and around 80 people attended throughout the evening, which was superbly organised and run.

Local sculptor John Goadby brought the life sized horse sculpture that he is working on along, which was on view in the back car park. It’s spectacular! (see photo left Thomas Ellwood Photography).

I’m pleased to say my paintings sold well, and my very large hound painting, which I think might be my best painting so far, went to some lovely people. It’s great when a painting that one really rates goes to someone who will genuinely get pleasure from it.

As in the past, this Gallery Evening was an opportunity to raise fund for the Injured Jockey Fund and Racing Welfare, both causes very dear to my heart. They will between them be receiving close to £500 as a result. The event received coverage in the Racing Post recently (22-01-20).

Hats off to Edmondson Hall for hosting such a valuable fund-raiser.
