Opening of the exhibition, ”Movement and Light” at Edmondson Hall, Newmarket

The Private View of David ‘Mouse’ Coopers one-man  show, took place last night (22nd September) and was a great success. Attended by over 100 people, the show was organised by Mark Edmondson and his fantastic team at Edmondson Hall. Jessica Middleditch, P.A. to Mark shouldered the majority of the organising and deserve special thanks, Mark’s wife Judy was responsible for providing some delicious canapes, and everyone there seemed to have a great evening.

The evening included the unveiling of the painting “Arriving at Ascot”. This depiction of the arrival of horses by rail in winter, as was commonplace in former times, is to be used for one of The Injured Jockey Fund Christmas cards for this year.

Fifteen paintings were sold, ranging in price from £100 to £1,750, and the specially printed hardback  book of the show, comprising over 20 of the paintings in the exhibition,  sold out.

Enormous thanks to mark Edmondson for allowing ‘Mouse’ to use the beautiful exhibition space at the law firm’s headquarters on Exeter Road.

The show continues from Monday 25th September to Friday 5th October, 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, weekdays only.
