“Working from Home” – an exhibition of new paintings by David ‘Mouse’ Cooper

Chiswick

We have exhibition of new paintings running in Newmarket for two weeks this November, titled “Working from Home”.

The show reflects some changes of subject matter forced on me by lock-downs, covering still-life, urban views, and coastal scenes from the North Norfolk coast, in addition to some racing scenes.

Hosted in the reception area of solicitors and sports lawyers, Edmondson Hall the show is  open to the public, weekdays only, from 22nd November to 3rd December.

As with his previous shows at Edmondson Hall we are donating a significant commission on all sales to be divided between The Injured Jockey Fund and Racing Welfare

In addition, “Warren Hill, Overnight Snow” (see fig 1 ) will auctioned during the show with the proceeds of the sale given to the charities. Firm bids from those unable to attend can be sent in advance to me at :

Mark Edmondson, Chief Executive of the award winning practice of Edmondson Hall comments:

“We all really admire ‘Mouse’ Coopers work here, and are glad to be able to offer our display space for this show. In previous years, we have raised many hundreds of pounds for the vital work of the two charities from our Gallery evenings, and so hope to add more to that total again this year”.

The pandemic has been very difficult for all artists, with nowhere available to sell their work. Galleries have been closed, and for me, my main sales outlet at Fakenham Racecourse has been unable to function. I’ve been lucky enough to get a few commissions through this website  to keep me going, but the offer of a show like this one  to work towards has been a huge tonic, and I’m very grateful to Mark and his team for putting in all the effort to make it happen.

“Working from Home’ runs for 2 weeks, weekdays only 10.00am to 4.00pm, from Monday 22nd November to Friday 3rd December at Edmondson Hall, Solicitors and Sports Lawyers, 25 Exeter Rd, Newmarket CB8 8AR. Parking is available immediately opposite, in the Guineas car park.
